Evening Recreational Kayaking Trips

Kittery Trading Post & Plum Island Kayak have teamed up to bring you these guided kayaking trips throughout the Portsmouth seacoast area.

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!

Registration & Cost...
Special KTP price of $55.00 per person
    Payment in advance is necessary to hold your spot on the trip.
 A maximum of twelve (12) individuals are allowed per trip. Minimum needed to offer each trip is six (6) individuals. Anything less will result in postponing the trip.

What is Provided...
 All gear, including kayaks from Wilderness Systems and Perception, paddles and PFDs (Personal Flotation Device).

What to Bring...
 Don’t forget your sunscreen, water bottle, sunglasses, camera and especially a snack & beverage. You will often be in places where you cannot purchase food or water.
 Above all, be prepared to have fun!

What to Wear...
 While you are not required to do a “wet exit” you should be aware that New England waters are cold even during the summer. A wetsuit is
suggested, but if you do not have one then think layers. Rain or wind gear over insulating clothing will keep you warm and dry. Bring sandals or old sneakers.
 A change of clothing afterwards is a good idea.

Where to Meet...
    Individuals signed up will meet outside the Kittery Trading Post North Entrance at 4:00pm the day of their scheduled trip.
4:00pm..................Meet at KTP
4:30pm..................Depart promptly from KTP
5:00pm..................Unload and Briefing
5:00pm-7:30pm....Paddle Kayak Trip
8:15pm..................Return to KTP

Safety...
 All trips will include a 20 minute orientation
which will briefly review safety procedures, basic paddle strokes, basic boat handling and the paddle route.

Cancellations...
Due to the limited availability of these tours, we must adhere to the following cancellation policy: 
•Cancellation by the customer, at any time prior to 4 days before tour departure, will incur a 50% cancellation fee. 
•For cancellations less than 4 days prior to tour departure, the client will be charged in full.
•Voice mails and e-mails are not considered confirmed cancellations.
•Inclement weather does not necessarily cancel a tour. 
•Plum Island Kayak and Kittery Trading Post reserve the right to cancel a tour at anytime in the event of severe weather.     
•No fees will be incurred if, for any reason, Plum Island Kayak or Kittery Trading Post cancels a tour.
•Kittery Trading Post will contact you in the event of a cancellation.
