Introduction to Fly Tying

Join Capt. Derek Sturtevant for a great introduction to the fly tiers' art.

This course is designed for the novice tier and for anyone making their initial transition to New England specific freshwater flies.  Focusing on the basic tools and technique of the art, we will be teaching the foundation skills of successful fly types and construction. We will cover the most common patterns and materials for freshwater flies and tie a number of the most trusted and time-tested New England flies for local streams and lakes.
