Kittery Trading Post Announces it will Support the 2nd Annual Traip Academy Fashion Show

Monday, April 2, 2007

Kittery Trading Post is pleased to announce it will again support Traip Academy" Project Graduation, donating outfits to be worn by Traip Academy models for the fashion show. The event will be held at Traip Academy, 12 Williams Avenue, on Saturday, April 28. The fashion show will help raise funds for the senior class, which will be going white-water rafting on the Kennebec River following graduation on June 10.

The theme of this year" fashion show is "Runway to the Rapids." The fashion show will start at 5:00 pm and end at 7:30 pm. New this year will be music and food tasting from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the lobby. The food vendors are Cap'n Simeon" Galley, Divine Cuisine and Terra Cotta Pasta. Other businesses that have donated their services are Johnson Printing (posters and tickets), Bobbi Slavin (event photography) and Marshalls Rental (runway and tables). Additionally, to support Project Graduation, raffle tickets may be purchased to buy the May Calendar from Traip Academy and exhibit tables are available for sponsorship for $100. To inquire about purchasing raffle tickets for the Traip Calendar or sponsoring a table, please call Ms. Elisa Fraser at 207.439.6029

The fashion show will feature outfits from Kittery Trading Post for children, women and men from famous lines such as Columbia, Woolrich, Prana, Mountain Hardware, Isis, Horny Toad and Life Is Good. Additional outfits will be provided by the KTP X-Sports division, which is located 200 yards south of Kittery Trading Post and offers a full selection of goods and services related to bicycling, paintball and water sports. All outfits will be coordinated by KTP" fashion guru Wendy Keen, with fashion coordinators Tara Rowley and Amanda Wright assisting. Music for the fashion show will be supplied by KTP'S own Tim Jacques.

With the help of enthusiastic volunteer committees from KTP and Traip Academy, a team of top-notch businesses, fabulous décor and music, this will be a community event that should not be missed! Tickets for the event are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Traip Academy, TD Banknorth, Bank of America and, of course, Kittery Trading Post.

This event is supported by the Kittery Recreation Department in conjunction with Kittery Trading Post and Traip Academy.
