PORTSMOUTH, N.H. The Banff Mountain Film Festival, a unique blood-pumping evening that attracts outdoor and extreme sport enthusiasts, nature and adventure lovers and adrenalin junkies the world over, is kicking off the World Tour from Banff Canada and heading to the Seacoast for another wild ride.
This year's tour will be held tonight, Feb. 13, at The Music Hall in Portsmouth and features a collection of inspiring and thought-provoking action, environmental, and adventure mountain films. Adrenaline-packed action sports, breathtaking landscapes and remote cultures will all be featured.
Back for its 12th year, this event sells out every year and is hosted by Avis Goodwin Community Health Center that provides health and dental care for all ages.
"This is a huge fundraiser for us... a real exciting night, with amazing films that get the blood pumping, people laughing, gasping, and jaws dropping," said York resident KC Christensen-Lang, AGCHC's new director of development and community relations.
"All the proceeds after expenses, support our nonprofit organization that has served thousands of people for 35 years. This year, Kittery Trading Post has stepped forward as our major sponsor."
